We talk about all the issues of today that how our present intent is growing, business is growing but have lost the focus that Gandhi has started 200 years ago.
Prosperous india is one where every indian has access to essentials such as water, sanitation, food, shelter, power and education what I call as 5 basic elements of modern India.
Even after 65 years of independence there is a no good plan for water shortgae in India and as a result the nation loses about (2 points) in GDP due to draught and mortality and time wasted securng dringking water.
My first topic will focus on the Water problem in India and what made the problem worse and where are we with it and what was done so far and what needs to be done. I dont have all the answers, but through this initiative, I think we as a nationa coolective movement can bring the difference to our nation to solve this problem once and for all, just like the ad from gotomeeting.com which ran on the TVs these days.
We call our nation as the nation that produces the smartest engineering and mathematical brains, but how can we boast such a claim when our very imoprtant problem that india faces today is not addressed.
There were some amazing historical initiatives undertaken by some that gave us what we call as the 5 start lake surrounded hotels in desert in Rajasthan, what happened to that brains of history?
he dams and surge tanks of the princely states, water harmony of the kings and pacts of hotory, what happened to them.
The grand plan of building water arteries across nation by Dr. Moxugundam Vishweshwariah, what happened to such plans.
What is happening at engineering colleges we learn about the bridges and dams in USA, but not about our the terrain of our own country. Shoudl the texts in our enginnering schools get that radical change where we refocus on our nation and not just be mechanical learning of concepts of engineering.
What are we doing to collect the rain water?
Waht are we doing for averting floods?
What are we doing to build the infrastrcture where we have this precious resource that is available to all and managed and maintained.
coming from marketing world, I think branding will be an imporant aspect for the campaing to "REFOCUS INDIA ON CLEAN WATER FOR ALL".
